“All I Want For Christmas Is My Five Front Teeth, My Five Front Teeth…Yeah, My Five Front Teeth…”
This has very much been our theme song this holiday season. Because my Tyler is currently missing 5 front teeth. There are 2 starting to grow in on the bottom. But I’m soaking in every moment of this missing front teeth phase.
I think it’s one of my favorite parts about being a mom – the silly sounding “ths” and the fact that he can’t eat corn on the cob. Or maybe it’s that his dimples seem 12x more cute because of the missing front teeth. All of this together and this kid sends me into cuteness overload.
(Yes, his smile is that infectious! As is his boisterous personality too!)
It’s been a LONG time since I’ve shared about my boys and what we’ve been up to, so I thought I’d do that here!!!
Long gone are the days of matching shirts. So we’ve moved onto “coordinating” shirts. (Yes, I am *that* mom.)
The best part about these – they didn’t even realize they were coordinating. But to me…it’s a perfect mix of blues and grays and stripes and plaid.
This was the first time that we’ve done a little photo session with all the boys and I didn’t have to bribe them.
And they all smiled at the camera. I secretly celebrated from behind the camera – as to not let on that I was happy they all smiled…because then they’d all start frowning. 😉
Ryan is now 11. He was 3 when I started this here web-blog. He amazes me everyday with his perseverance, charm and full on boy-silliness. I adore that he adores basketball as much as I do and I love watching him grow and develop as a player.
Cuatro is as lovely and charming as he appears. He’s a great kiddo (kinda have to be when you’re the 4th dude!), loves to laugh and giggle and works hard at keeping up with his older brothers. He’s still holding onto his fat little baby cheeks, but they day will soon come when they disappear into his little boy face. This perfect caboose for our boy-train will be 4 in a month!!!
Charlie has grown leaps and bounds this year – physically and mentally. He’s been through round 1 of braces to adjust his palate and straighten out his wild teeth. He excelled in basketball and played soccer for the first time this fall. Turns out he’s a rockstar goalie and is chomping at the bit for the next season to start!
So I’ve been saving my secret to a successful photo session with a bunch of boys.
It’s simple: put them all up in a tree. 😉
Then they’ll be still. And will focus on being still and will look at the camera and will all smile at once.
I love this adventure of being an all boy mom! And I love these dudes to pieces!
The Chase Boys and I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas!!!
We hope your holidays are filled with plenty of love, laughter and the unmeasurable joy that comes from Christ alone. Peace, Love and Joy to you and yours!!!
