When did Costco start taking coupons- other than the ones they distribute to members? Here Costco does not even require their own coupons to get the deal price.

They have included a scan bar on the front page of their flyers that cover most everything that they will have on sale within the monthly coupon booklet. All you have to do it rip that can bar off the flyer and paperclip it to your costco card :)

When did Costco start taking coups? Can we also bring our own? I do not have an iphone, can I get the ibotta somehow?

to get the instant savings do you have to scan a coupon or is it automatically taken off at the register? are these items on sale for that price or do i need to do something to get the lower price? sorry! i’m new to costco!

Almost all of the Costco deals are from the current month’s coupon booklet. Some coupons say whether you need to show the cashier the coupon book (or free Costco app on your phone) and some are instant savings. The coupons tell you which ones they are on the post. However, I’ve never had to actually show my cashiers at Costco the coupon book – they always scan their copy at the register. Just watch the screen and make sure you see the coupons come off your totals. :)

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I don’t see Costco anywhere in my Favado app. Is there a trick to accessing it there?

    • Jenn K says

Melissa – you can get on their mailing list to have it mailed every month. Just check with customer service at your local Costco. Or once the coupons are live, all the Costco stores have them usually by the entrance or on the desk at customer service.

  5. Anne Newcomb-Thibodeau says

ok I am really confused. I picked out the coupons I would use at Costco but all I get is a list of the coupons I want. How do we get the actual coupons?

    • Jenn K says

The Costco coupon book is available at the front desk or front door at your local Costco. You can also ask your check out person.

  6. Nicole says

I’ve never actually had to use my coupon booklet for the deals unless the coupon specifically states it must be presented. All the advertised discounts are auto-applied upon checkout and I’ve not had an issue with being overcharged. Maybe I am thinking of something different though.

  7. Tara Torres says

Nicole, the same is true for me here in the SF Bay Area. I never have to clip coupons. Everything is automatically applied.
