Great post! Following Dave Ramsey helped us to get out of debt (sans mortgage) a few years ago and I couldn’t be happier about that! I still love his radio show because it’s so inspirational and he’s always giving some incredibly helpful advice.

And as a data-nerd, I’ve always loved mint.com, but I feel like anyone (data-nerd or not) could benefit from watching their finances closely using Mint.

Keeping a close eye on your personal finances is an absolute must if you want to know where you money’s going and how much you can afford on this or that. Those who don’t control their spending can’t reach financial independence.
