The $5 Dinners Weekly Meal Plan with Printable Grocery List

Scroll down and you’ll see a list of ingredients for each of the recipes included, in the order they are listed above. I’ll include ALL ingredients, including many that you already have in your pantry, refrigerator, or freezer. If you have those ingredients, just don’t click them!

Put a check mark by each of the ingredients, and then print your grocery list and be on your way to the grocery store!

Chorizo Black Bean Soup

1 lb. dried black beans
1 lb. chorizo sausage
1 yellow onion
1 green pepper
1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 cup chicken broth
1 tsp ground cumin
2 Broccoli heads
Bread Slices

Dutch Oven Beef Stew

1 Tablespoon olive oil
3/4 lb. stew beef, seasoned with salt and pepper and minced onion
1 butternut squash
1 onion
1 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms
1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
1/2 lb. baby carrots or equivalent carrot sticks
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Corn Chicken Chili

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion
2 garlic cloves
1 can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 cups chicken broth (homemade or store bought)
2 cups shredded chicken
2 15 oz. cans whole corn kernels
Sour cream and cilantro, for garnish
Bread and butter

Southwest Wild Rice Pilaf

1/4 cup lime juice
2/3 cup brown rice
2/3 cup wild rice
1/2 red onion
1 green pepper
1 jalapeno pepper
1 15 oz. can corn
1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 15 oz. can black beans
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
2 broccoli heads

Split Pea and Asparagus Soup

1 package Hurst HamPeas, split peas
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
about 1/2 lb. asparagus
3 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp olive oil or butter
Ham bone
about 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Sour cream, for garnish
Cracked pepper, for garnish

Shrimp and Mango Curry

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 bunch green onions
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 15 oz can light coconut milk
1 1/2 Tbsp curry powder
1 tsp ground ginger
3/4 to 1 pound shrimp
1 mango, peeled, seeded and diced
1 cup brown rice, cooked
Cilantro for garnish

7 Layer Tostadas

8 tostada shells
1 can refried beans (or 2 cups homemade refried beans)
1 chicken breast, shredded, or about 2 cups
2 avocados
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 Tbsp lime or lemon juice
Chopped peppers
Canned, or cooked black beans, about 1 cup
About 1/2 cup salsa
8 pinchfuls of shredded cheese

Zucchini Carrot Whole Wheat Pancakes

2 cups whole wheat flour
¼ cup white sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg
4 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1 ½ – 1 ¾ cups milk
1 cup zucchini and carrots, grated (=1 small zucchini and 2 small carrots)

Raspberry Brownie Parfaits

4 brownies, cut into 1/2″ pieces
1 box instant pudding plus 2 cups milk
About 1 1/2 cups raspberries
