Eggnog Bread: a scrumptious and easy quick bread recipe – with batter made with eggnog and warm spices and a dusting of nutmeg on top.

Eggnog Bread

A scrumptious and easy quick bread made with eggnog and a dusting of nutmeg.
Prep Time15 minutes minutes
Cook Time1 hour hour
Servings - 8 slices

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups flour all purpose or gluten free blend
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • ground nutmeg dusting on top of the batter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9x5-inch or 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the eggs, vanilla, melted butter and eggnog. Stir until batter is smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish. Add a dusting on the ground nutmeg on top of the batter.
  • 9x5-inch LOAF PAN: Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean in the center. Let cool before slicing and serving.
  • 9x9-inch SQUARE PAN: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean in the center. Let cool before slicing and serving.
