Ingredients
- 1 large French loaf bread
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp homemade Philly cheesesteak seasoning link below
- 1 small onion thinly sliced
- 1 small green bell pepper seeded and thinly sliced
- 10 slices Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Slice the French loaf open and lay it flat on baking sheet.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Once browned, drain if needed. Stir in the homemade Philly cheesesteak seasoning mix with 1/4 cup of water. Add the bell peppers and onion slices and saute for 5 to 6 minutes, or until softened.
- Spread the browned ground beef with peppers and onions onto the sliced bread. Place the Swiss cheese slices to cover as much of the beef as possible.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cheese has melted. Let cool slightly before slicing into "mini-sandwiches."
