Here’s a Red White and Blue smoothie for you all to try this holiday weekend!
It turns a magnificent purple color when blended!
July 4th Smoothie
A healthy and fresh patriotic treat!

- 6 large strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries

You can easily add spinach to this smoothy if you have greenaphobic kiddos like I do. My children NEVER know it’s in there…the bluberries hide it just right.
I make this all the time, except I freeze the yogurt ahead of time (sometimes the fruit too) and use apple juice & honey to sweeten. Very yummy! I’ll have to try the flaxseed sometime.

Yum Yum and I LOVE the gluten free!
That looks absolutely wonderful! I have just started making green smoothies. The hubs say they taste good but he can’t get past the color to drink one. Tracay, I am going to take your advice and try and sneak some green into this purple beauty! 🙂
I just made these smoothies today and they were just delightful! Thank you for sharing this healthy, easy to do and festively fun 4th of July recipe.
