Homemade Buttermilk

Learn how to make your own buttermilk at home with just two simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

Servings - 1 cup

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Combine the milk and lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup or other small bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes, or until begins to thicken and curdle.
  • Use in place of buttermilk, as directed in a recipe.
