Servings - 4 cups
Ingredients
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 15 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp white sugar to cut the acidity from the tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan or skillet, whisk together the tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. Turn heat on high while you add the other ingredients.
- Add the olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, basil, oregano, thyme, and sugar.
- Once the sauce bubbles, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes. Add salt or pepper to taste.
