…buy a whole bunch and freeze them. (How to Freeze Raspberries)

I didn’t mean to go back into Kroger this week.Β  But I couldn’t let the $1 raspberry sale pass by without taking advantage! I stopped in and picked up 15 packages, and then froze them all.

You can also make them into a strained sauce and then freeze that for drinks, ice cream, cheesecakes, etc.

Be sure to make raspberry lemonade. I throw a (frozen) handful or two in the blender with any kind of regular lemonade. Your kids will love you… err, more! πŸ™‚

I’ve cooked down some raspberries, strained and added the liquid into a buttercream frosting for cupcakes and smoothies of course.

What size are those containers, 6 oz? A local patch lets you pick them yourself (in august usually) for $1.50/pt. I wash and freeze them on cookie sheets then put them in freezer bags like you do. I make jam and pies from them and people love them!

So jealous of your raspberries, they are 2 for $5 here. Not the same.
