Here it is.

I’ve got my work cut out for me. And I can only hope that the oven is prepared for the task ahead.

I can’t wait to put together this feast for our family and friends. My sister and brother-in-law are coming in from Texas, my husband’s aunt and uncle from Indianapolis, grandma from down the street, and dear family friends from up the road. We are going to have a rocking afternoon on Thursday…and yes, it is my goal that everyone leaves the table feeling pleasantly stuffed and their hearts filled with warmth and happiness.

Here’s what we’ll be feasting on…

Breakfast-Brunch

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Ham and Broccoli Breakfast Bake

Appetizers

Butternut Squash Soup – made by my sister

Surprises from Christan

Orange-Pineapple Wassail (recipe in my Holiday Entertaining Guide)

Main Dish

Turkey with Giblet Gravy

Side Dishes

Golden Raisin-Apple Stuffing

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing with Pears (experimental recipe)

Mashed Red Potatoes (experimental recipe)

Whipped Maple-Sweet Potato Casserole (shared these on Facebook awhile back…can see recipe/photos)

Roasted Green Beans with Caramelized Onions (experimental recipe)

Cranberry Sauce – made by Grandma

Cranberry Jello – made by Grandma

Sister Schubert’s Parker Rolls (because they are melt in your mouth amazing, and I think if I were to make some rolls from scratch, my oven might have a coronary.)

Desserts

Caramel Apple Pie

Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Double Chocolate Cheesecake (pictured above, recipe in my Holiday Entertaining Guide)

Chocolate Pecan Pie

(Homemade Pie Crust Tips)

And no, it’s apparently not wrong at all to make 4 pies for 14 people!

That’s our plan for this Thanksgiving! I’d love to know what’s on your menu!!!

I am making 2 pumpkin, 1 pecan, 1 chocolate, 1 lemon meringue, plus a pumpkin roll and cookies for 16 people.

Your dinner sounded delicious! We had 14 people as well and we had:

    2 deep-fried turkeys
    Sausage stuffing
    mashed potatoes
sweet potato chunks fried in butter and brown sugar
    kidney bean salad
kraut salad – (german coleslaw made with shredded cabbage, canola oil, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper)
    noodle kugel
    waldorf salad
    brie and crackers for appetizer
    cranberries
    homemade sourdough bread
    2 pumpkin pies
    pumpkin spice cake
and of course, green bean casserole

None of which were on my weight watchers plan 🙂 I had to take the entire week off of work to cook for this meal and everything tasted fantastic. I stockpiled majority of what I needed already so my grocery bill was not that bad at all. I think it was $100.00 around and that included food and lunches for the week and some more stockpiling as well. I did find alot of stuff that I didnt have coupons for and I needed were cheaper at Trader Joes….fyi.
