Every week for the past few weeks, “take family Christmas photo” has been on my to-do list. And each week, it kept getting bumped to the next week.

There’s still time. You’re not sending Christmas cards by mail, so….you really have until 12/23 to get this done.

That was the story that played in my mind…as I worked on other holiday tasks, like…find white elephant gifts, and call the bank about the school fundraiser, etc. Layer on top of that all the reading, research, doctor’s office visits, trips the the pharmacy, and sending updates through the doctor’s messaging portal (all of this related to my youngest’s very mysterious and very pesky illness) and well….

Here we are…last night…down on the Riverwalk for a “San Antonio Christmas moment.”

Somehow, despite living here for 10+ years now, we had never taken the boys downtown to the river at Christmas to experience the lights. Generally, we avoid the “touristy” Riverwalk but we made a spontaneous trip down to walk around and admire the lights and tress and festive downtown. We had a delightful time, and the boys were amazed at the spectacle of it all.

As we celebrate Christ’s birth in this season, we pray that His peace, love and joy and pray that it will follow you always!
