Maple Bacon Cookies: Sweet, Salty, and Impossibly Addictive

If you’ve never experienced the magic of maple and bacon together in cookie form, prepare to have your world turned upside down.

These unexpected treats strike the perfect balance between sweet and savory, with rich maple flavor woven throughout buttery cookies and crispy bacon bits adding bursts of salty crunch in every bite.

They’re the kind of cookie that stops people mid-conversation at parties, prompts recipe requests before the plate is even empty, and somehow manages to taste both comfortingly familiar and delightfully surprising all at once.

Fair warning: making these once means you’ll be asked to make them again and again…so stock up on these maple flavored baking chips!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup maple flavored baking chips

  • Cook 4 slices of bacon, nice and crispy (so that they will crumble easily!) Let cool and crumble.
  • In a stand mixer or mixing bowl, cream the butter with the white and brown sugars.

  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge overnight.
  • About 1 hour before baking, remove the dough from the fridge.

  • Use an ice cream scoop to transfer the dough onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 9 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and transfer to cooling rack. Let cool for 5 minutes before enjoying a warm cookie.
