I hope you enjoy this ‘hungarian-ish’ goulash taht has been americanized to cook in a single skillet. If you want a more Hungarian type of meal, serve with egg noodles and tiny beef cubes instead of ground beef. Enjoy!

Ingredients
1lbground beef
1Tbspminced onion
1tspgarlic powder
15oz.canned crushed tomatoes
1Tbspsweet Hungarian paprika
10ozfrozen green peppers
1cupfrozen carrots
2 1/2cupsbeef broth
12oz.elbow pasta
Garnish: shredded mozzarella cheese
Garnish: dollops sour cream

Instructions
Cooking Directions for Single Meal
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the minced onion and garlic powder. Drain and return to the skillet. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and paprika with the green peppers, carrot slices, and beef broth. Bring to bubbling, then add the pasta. Stir and press the pasta into the liquid and cover with a tight fitting lid. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 8 to 9 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
Garnish with shredded mozzarella cheese or sour cream.
Prepare the salad.
Serve Hungarian-ish Goulash with side salad.
Freezer Meal Prep Directions
Brown 2 lbs. ground beef with 2 Tbsp minced onion and 2 tsp garlic powder. Drain and set aside to cool.
To a gallon-size plastic freezer baggie, add the browned ground beef, crushed tomatoes, Hungarian paprika, green peppers, carrot slices, beef broth, and salt and pepper
Do NOT freeze the pasta with the meal.
Remove as much air as possible and seal. Add label to baggie and freeze.
Freeze & Thaw Instructions
Put baggie in the freezer and freeze up to 6 months in fridge freezer or 12 months in a deep freezer. Thaw in the fridge overnight, or a warm bowl of water for about 20 minutes, before transferring to the skillet. Once warmed through, add the small shell pasta. Cover and cook for 8 to 9 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
Serve with cheese or sour cream garnish, and side salad.
