    The $5 Dinners Weekly Meal Plan with Printable Grocery List

    Every week I will post 5 links to archived recipes, plus an additional 1 or 2 recipes for breakfast, snacks or batch cooking recipes.  You can click through to see the original recipe and print that recipe if you like. (Or go green and just come back to this post to get to the recipe.)

    It’s an all “One Dish Dinners” week this week…making it really simple…and the cleanup a cinch, so you can focus on all your other holiday tasks this week!

    Scroll down and you’ll see a list of ingredients for each of the recipes included, in the order they are listed above. I’ll include ALL ingredients, including many that you already have in your pantry, refrigerator, or freezer. If you have those ingredients, just don’t click them!

    Put a check mark by each of the ingredients, and then print your grocery list and be on your way to the grocery store!

    Pizza Penne Bake

    1 lb. pasta noodles, such as penne, ziti, mostachioli or other “medium” shaped noodle
    3/4 cup pizza sauce
    1 red bell pepper
    1 green bell pepper
    About 30 pepperonis
    1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
    About 1 cup pizza blend shredded cheese

    Loaded Potato Frittata

    6 slices turkey bacon
    4 medium Russet potatoes
    8 eggs
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 cup sour cream
    1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1 bunch green onions
    Serve with a side of fruit

    Beef Roast with Apples, Carrots, Red Potatoes and Pearled Onions

    1 1/2 to 2 lb. beef roast
    3 medium sized apples
    1/2 lb. baby carrots or peeled carrots
    8 small red potatoes
    1 cup frozen pearled onions
    Garlic and Onion seasoning

    Slow Cooker Sweet Potato and Chicken Curry

    1 can (15 oz.) light coconut milk
    3 teaspoons curry powder
    1 pkg (about 1.5 lbs.) boneless skinless chicken thighs 
    3 medium sweet potatoes
    6 carrot sticks
    1 small onion

    Green Pepper Chili

    About 3/4 lb. ground beef
    1/2 red onion
    2 green peppers
    1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
    1 6 oz. can tomato paste
    2 cups cooked black beans
    2 cups cooked red beans (Substitute 1 can black beans and 1 can red beans to save on time!)
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    1 Tbsp chili powder
    Tabasco or hot sauce, optional
