I’ve added a new feature to $5 Dinners and I’m excited to finally share it all with you!!!
You may have noticed a blue “Save Recipe” button just under the Ingredients on the most recently posted recipes. This little blue button makes it easier for you to save your favorite recipes from $5 Dinners to an online recipe box, then add the ingredients you need to your weekly shopping list.
When you click the Save Recipe button you’ll have the option to add the recipe to your recipe box or to your shopping list.
Click on the blue button. Register or login when prompted. Then the recipe gets added to your recipe box, and the ingredients to your shopping list. You can add as many recipes as you like…then print your shopping list (or sync with your Ziplist mobile app) and head to the store.
It’s that simple!
I teamed up with ZipList.com to make this possible for you. They’re behind the recipe boxes and shopping lists you find online at WomansDay.com, WholeLiving.com, MarthaStewart.com, and now, here on $5 Dinners!
You’ll also find the new feature on my sister site, One Dish Dinners, too. (Note: All the recipes on One Dish Dinners have the button added. We are working to get the button added to the hundreds of recipes here on $5 Dinners. It has to be done manually, so it will take us a few weeks. Thanks for your patience!)
You can save recipes from any of the websites with Ziplist features, including mine, and they all get saved in one place.
If you want to access your online recipe box or shopping list from $5 Dinners, just mouse over Recipes in my navigation bar above and you’ll see Recipe Box and Shopping List in the drop-down menu. You can also access your recipe box and shopping list from any partner website, as well as from ZipList.com and using the free mobile apps from ZipList…so you have what you need to plan meals and grocery shop.
Please let me know what you think about these new features! And what other functionalities you’d like to see…I’ll pass your feedback along to the guys and gals at Ziplist!
