It’s Already Been a Year! Really?!

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on November 18, 2010

It’s already been a year.  Can you believe it?!

I remember clear as day the moment I found out I was pregnant with this little booger. The moment he made his grand (and speedy) entrance into the world. The moment I introduced him to his big brothers (who were not allowed on hospital grounds due to H1N1). And the moment when the 5 of us sat together on the couch for the first time.

It seems sooner than yesterday that this all happened.  It seems like this morning.

And earlier this week, we celebrated his birthday.

Intrigue. He was intrigued by the glow atop the candle. He was also intrigued by the squishy white stuff on top of the cupcake.

(This is the part when I almost dropped the camera, ran to the nearest corner, plopped onto the ground and started rocking back in forth…in utter disbelief that another year has come and gone. And that my baby is all. growns. up.

I kid.)

He wasn’t too sure what to think about this strange white stuff.

His first taste. In the end, he really didn’t like the frosting. Or the cake.

He just wanted more beans! Go figure!

Happy Birthday T-Bear!  We all love you so much!!!

Isn’t it amazing how fast they grow? Both of my boys are now taller than me. Yesterday, I realised it’s less than a year for the oldest to be eighteen years old! OH MY GOODNESS!

Enjoy them while you’ve got them. My biggest regret is not spending more time with my boys when they were younger.

Happy Birthday to your little guy! My baby turned 1 on Oct 29th, so I know exactly what you mean! It goes so fast! My oldest (of 5 children) will be turning 18 on the 11th of December, and I can’t believe it’s already here!! An infant and an adult! Talk about wanting to rock in a corner! :) I can tell you enjoy every minute you have with them. Wouldn’t trade one moment!

Happy Birthday to your littlest boy. Time does fly and enjoy it! How fun to watch children play with their cake, cuz usually we don’ t let them! Loving having a granddaughter to watch grow! Hugs!
