Last week we had some friends over for dinner and my friend brought over these brownies for dessert. At first I thought it was so fabulous new dessert concept, discovered on Pinterest. But then she fessed up…
“I totally botched the brownies. So I had to get creative.”
She layered the brownies with whipped cream…then added some holiday sprinkles on top! You’d have never known that she botched the brownies. (And I never did ask why she thought they were botched…maybe the edges were too crispy?!)
What’s your favorite way to redeem a botched batch of brownies?!?

Crumble them up and put them on top of vanilla ice cream. Voila! Problem solved.
I chop them up and layer them in a trifle with strawberries, whip cream, and vanilla pudding. Huge success at thanksgiving.
I’ve made truffles with them. Mix together with a little frosting…refrigerate until firm and then dip in chocolate coating.
I love the idea layers with whipped cream tho.
My daughter mixed them with frosting, coated in almond bark and called them brownie balls! LOL!
I didn’t know you could do anything to “botch” brownies.
Crumble the brownies up and press a light layer into the bottom of a pie plate for a chocolate pie crust. Use the pie crust for Key Lime Pie, Banana Cream or Pudding Pies the chocolate crust would add that extra yummy touch!
