Winner announced tomorrow!
Are you a GIRL…who likes to GRILL?!?!?
I am.
When Weber first approached me about working with them on a Girls Grill Too campaign, I was ecstatic! We currently have a Weber grill that has been nothing but wonderful…but is on its last leg…or should I say grate!
I had the opportunity to speak with PR director at Weber recently and was struck by her passion for educating consumers about why Weber is the best grill on the market and why it is a worthy investment. She has the same desire and drive about Weber that I have about sharing the $5 Dinners concept, recipes and other money saving tips with you!
You might think of the name and brand of Weber as being “the expensive” line of grills. And while some of the grills they offer are more than my mortgage payment, not all of them are! They have a fantastic line of budget friendly grills too!!!
I believe that when it comes time to purchase a grill…you have to look at it is an extension of your kitchen…as if it is that 5th kitchen appliance! It may live outside, but it does the same thing as an oven!!! And I think it cooks better than an oven does too!
So, the Weber website…I was struck not only by its mouthwatering photography and its navigational ease, but also by all the FREE resources that us girls (and you guys too!) can take advantage of. Check these out…
- Girls Guide to Grilling
- Grilling What’s Good for You
- Sign up for the Recipe of the Week
- And several other FREE booklets, including Steak BootCamp and How to BBQ a Turkey
You can also learn more about how to make the most out of your grill, get more mileage out of your grill, and how to maintain your grill by joining the Weber Nation community. Weber Nation members have access to online grilling classes, audio podcasts and an interactive recipe box! (I’ve already spotted a few new recipes I’d like to try out on the grill!!!)
I also learned a few new tricks from Weber’s Grilling Tips as well! I love how they have some many fantastic resources to equip the newbie grillers…and even the grilling afficionados too!
And if you’re a “girl who grills” or you want to become a “girl who grills”…you definitely need to check out all these great resources! I want to encourage and empower you to feel comfortable standing in front of the grill!!!
But it would help to have a grill…right?!
How about one of these?!!?

I live in Florida and ONLY grill for 6 months of the year! My oven raises the temp in my kitchen 8 degrees! Love grilled pineapple with brown sugar & cayenne!
I love to grill because you can put all courses on the grill (meat/fish, potatoes, veggie, and fruit for dessert) and in a short time you have a hot meal without a lot of work or clean-up.
We don’t have a grill, but would love to. I love all of the fresh summer produce on the grill–asparagus to zucchini, I love them all (fruit too:)
Favorite Kebob recipe: Teriyaki marinated chicken with pineapple and green bell pepper! YUMMMY! Did I mention that I make my own teriyaki sauce from scratch???
Daily comment: This is a great grilled pineapple recipe: http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/grilled-pineapple/Detail.aspx
My favorite combination is steak, purple onion, green peppers and bacon. We haven’t made any kabobs this year yet – I need to put the ingredients on my shopping list!
I love chicken, mushroom, red onion, and pineapple kebabs
I also love steak with various colored peppers and onions for my kebabs
I love to grill because it doesn’t heat up my house!
I love grilling because my husband likes to do it. I love simple foods on the grill, like steak and grilled asparagus.
I would really love to win the grill and get that great charcoal taste again!! We do a lot of burgers and pile them high with fixins. Also grill in the winter using deer meat.
burgers, brats, and hot dogs tonight.
Love to grill, food seems to taste better. Good ol hamburgers are my fav!
When you use a little ingenuity when your grilling you can get a restaurant quality meal for half the price (or less) and it usually tastes better! That’s why we like to grill!

My very first grill was this same Weber – I received it when I graduated from college and moved into my first apartment – about 20 years ago! Okay, that was a little difficult to confess! My husband and I just recently had to let that grill go during our communities “large item trash pickup”. It had served us as long as it could and now would be a perfect time to win a new one! We love to grill. Our favorite is chicken – and we just recently discovered Kraft’s Light Asian Toasted Sesame dressing that works really well as a simple marinade!
We love to grill out. Food just tastes better.
Pineapple kabobs…mmm! I just picked up some fresh pineapple that I was planning to grill with the chicken legs my son adores!
Great new idea: to 1lb. HB. add 4 slices cooked crumbled bacon, 1/8 cup Mayo and 1/8 cup BBQ sauce, 1 1/2 t. Steak seasoning, 1 1/2 T Onion.
Delish! Great on a new Weber grill !!!!
7-2 We love to grill for the flavor it adds. Seafood is our favorite, just lemon, oil, S&P.
@Donna B., *doh* today’s the 3rd, not the 2nd!

I love to grill…..for many reasons.
1) Keeps my house cool (no using the hot oven)
2) I like sitting on my back porch and enjoying the woods in my backyard
3) Food always tastes so much better grilled
4) My family loves a good cookout
I have NEVER made kebobs! There, I said it! I almost feel embarrassed!
I want to….I just never have! Thanks for all the great ideas.
I like to grill pizza pockets.
7/3 I tweeted on twitter.
7/3 I follow both on facebook.
7/3 I receive your email newsletter.
Kebab combo #1 – shrimp, red peppers and pineapple. grilled and yummy, great with rice.
Kebab combo #1 – chunks of lamb, cherry tomatoes, onions and peppers. seasoned with garlic, oregano, lemon and oil. This is what I grew up on
Kebab combo #3 – chunks of angel food cake or pound cake, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, apples or pineapple. We LOVE grilling fruit and the cake gets lightly toasted – yummy.

Love to grill and use those rosemary pieces for pork, onions, and fresh vegetables right from the garden. I have tons of rosemary, and it needs to be used.
I love grilling anything, but bacon wrapped giant scallops, pineapple chunks, zucchini, and red onions (marinated in and basted with a soy sauce-based marinade) is fantastic over rice!
The grilling turkey–I went to a Girl Scout leader workshop a few years ago. We baked using solar ovens, and did a turkey on a stake–12llb in the ground and covered it with a metal 5 gallon bucket. GOOD—YES.
Just me I am cooking for, so the extra is saved for later. Love to use fresh herbs on the grill with vegetables in that grill basket. Am eyeing those kebab flexible holders at WS–perfect to do just a few at one time. I’d also try my hand at grilling fruit. Maybe eve a fruit pizza on the grill. You can do vegetable pizza, so why not fruit on the grill.
.
Grill combo #2 – tin foil packets – especially potatoes, onions, and garlic. For a one pouch meal, and a chicken breast, hamburger, small steak, etc. Make a tossed salad, and dinner is served.
@Barbara, should read “add”, not “and”
Combo #3 – Keilbasa, onion, baby taters, basted in garlic oil.
