CLOSED! Weber’s One Touch Silver Charcoal Grill – Giveaway

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on June 27, 2010

Winner announced tomorrow!

Are you a GIRL…who likes to GRILL?!?!?

I am.

When Weber first approached me about working with them on a Girls Grill Too campaign, I was ecstatic! We currently have a Weber grill that has been nothing but wonderful…but is on its last leg…or should I say grate!

I had the opportunity to speak with PR director at Weber recently and was struck by her passion for educating consumers about why Weber is the best grill on the market and why it is a worthy investment. She has the same desire and drive about Weber that I have about sharing the $5 Dinners concept, recipes and other money saving tips with you!

You might think of the name and brand of Weber as being “the expensive” line of grills. And while some of the grills they offer are more than my mortgage payment, not all of them are! They have a fantastic line of budget friendly grills too!!!

I believe that when it comes time to purchase a grill…you have to look at it is an extension of your kitchen…as if it is that 5th kitchen appliance! It may live outside, but it does the same thing as an oven!!! And I think it cooks better than an oven does too!

So, the Weber website…I was struck not only by its mouthwatering photography and its navigational ease, but also by all the FREE resources that us girls (and you guys too!) can take advantage of. Check these out…

You can also learn more about how to make the most out of your grill, get more mileage out of your grill, and how to maintain your grill by joining the Weber Nation community. Weber Nation members have access to online grilling classes, audio podcasts and an interactive recipe box! (I’ve already spotted a few new recipes I’d like to try out on the grill!!!)

I also learned a few new tricks from Weber’s Grilling Tips as well! I love how they have some many fantastic resources to equip the newbie grillers…and even the grilling afficionados too!

And if you’re a “girl who grills” or you want to become a “girl who grills”…you definitely need to check out all these great resources! I want to encourage and empower you to feel comfortable standing in front of the grill!!!

But it would help to have a grill…right?!

How about one of these?!!?

In celebration of the July 4th holiday and the most popular grilling out day of the year, I’m giving away a Weber One Touch Silver Charcoal Grill! Read the entry details below…

(But before you enter, you need to know…the average wait time to talk to a LIVE person at Weber’s Customer Service Center is 43 seconds!!! Don’t believe me…try it. It’s quite impressive!)

I enjoy grilling, because it is a welcome change to using the stove and oven in my home, which does not have central air. Enough said, right?

We LOVE grilling! Our favorite things are just chicken breasts marinated in homemade or store-bought BBQ sauce then made into sandwiches and eaten with grilled corn on the cob! Mmm!

I would like a new grill because I like charcoal grilling and my husband likes gas grilling. We currently have a gas grill. Anything my husband puts on the grill is always well done no matter if you ask for it medium. I cook better on the grill than he does. I would love a new grill to cook on when he is away at work.

I would like to be a girl that grills! I’ve always left it to hubby because I can’t figure out how! I’d be golden if I could figure out how to light the coals. My favorite food grilled is chicken!

And here’s one for leaving a general comment. I love to grill meats, all kinds, with fresh herbs from the garden. Simple, good, good for you. I put whatever strikes my fancy: cilantro, rosemary, basil, sage, chives….. yum.

Lastly, I love to do skewers of chicken marinated in a peanut soy sauce, pineapple and onion. Always gotta have the onion in there. :)

I love to grill chicken breasts. I just rub them with whatever I feel like- citrus basil rub from the Pampered Chef is one of my favorites- and grill them until they are done. Then I just slice them and serve them. I think it looks better than just putting a hunk of meat on the plate.

I love to grill and I would love to win the Weber grill. We love to grill steaks and I use the Weber Chicago Steak seasoning for the steaks and also it is really good to use this as a seasoning in the potato salad.
