cooking light has an amazing recipe, tiramisu anacapri, that uses low fat/fat free cream cheese.... more trifle than cut out like a cake- but always gets rave reviews (despite the missing mascarpone)!

Thank you for sharing this recipe. I've been wanting to make Tiramisu some time when I make Chicken Parmesan, but can't afford the Mascarpone and couldn't find lady fingers, nor could I find a recipe for lady fingers.

As I was reading over the recipe, I noticed on the listing for heavy cream it simply says "1/2 heavy cream." One half what? Cup? Tub? Can you help me out?

Thanks. I really enjoy your site and have gotten lots of good recipes off here for my family.

What a delicious birthday dessert! My children often ask for non-cake desserts for their birthday celebration. One year my daughter wanted my chai-spiced pudding...which made candle placement rather difficult. :)

I love that you have shared a lady fingers recipe and a Mascarpone substitute, making your tiramisu both frugal and delicious!
