I wanted to give you all a peak into Lane’s Summer Garden Project! I’m really enjoying watching it grow!!!
This is her first year gardening and what you see above is what her garden looks like after just a month!!!
Thanks for sharing your garden with us Lane!
I’ll be out in the garden some this weekend…trying to figure out what to do with a few of my squares of spinach. I’m thinking/hoping all this early heat is what did them in. They just did not grow like they did last year!!!

Looks like a great garden, I’ll have to go check it out. I need to post my week 6, things are growing around here too and we’ve added stuff to the soil in the hopes of getting rid of the nasty grubs and beetles. We’ve been feasting on green beans this week… yum
I can’t believe it the first time!! GORGEOUS!
That is an AWESOME garden!! Great job for a first year too. LOVE it!
Great job!!! It looks great! Keep up the good job!!!
Left you a link – just did my garden update a few minutes ago. Things are starting to really ramp up for us out here…it’s been unseasonably cold and damp for us, which has made for some slow going thus far…but we’re in the 80s today, baby, so hopefully the garden will wake up and take off!
I am ready to harvest some arugula. Looking up what to do with it as I have no clue lol!
I have finally updated our garden blog. I can’t believe how much fun this is!!
Just linked up to my latest SFG post. The garden has just exploded in the past week. I’m amazed at all the changes happening out there!
It is amazing what a few weeks can do!
We are still getting snow! I learned my lesson last year… I *might* plant next weekend. I love the square foot gardening methods!
Lane’s garden is beautiful!
We’re eating artichokes, asparagus, peaches, and lettuce from our garden right now. Our apricots are almost ready!
Hi, I can’t remember if you were having problems with slugs in your garden but I just found this article and thought it would be worth trying. I know i have them in my garden! http://www.blogsouthwest.com/blog/going-green-solving-garden-problems-with-beer
I went to a FREE EcoFriendly gardening “Do-It-Herself” workshop at Home Depot last night. It was amazing!! But I learned that Rabbits, Deer, and Bees do not like the smell of marigolds and by adding a row of them into your garden bed they stay away!! Great tip since I love enjoying my garden but HATE that we have an ugly chicken coop fence around it! I am hoping to give this a try this year and see how well it works. I thought to mention it since Lane’s white fence reminded me of it!
WOW! That is gorgeous! Here are our gardens – I thought they looked good, but nothing like hers! http://sahmom-kme-jenn.blogspot.com/2010/06/our-dinner-garden.html
I love looking at photos of raised bed gardens! I get new ideas for my own. I just started it last year, when I moved to a house with a large enough yard to do it and still have room for kids and dogs.
