Restaurant.com – $25 Gift Certificate for $3

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on February 5, 2011

Looking for a way to save on Valentine’s Dinner out on the town?! Check out this fabulous deal from Restaurant.com!

Steve and I often take advantage of these great offers from Restaurant.com for our date nights.  We have discovered some amazing restaurants through the site.  And scored some great deals too!

To get this $25 gift certificate for just $3, enter the code HEART before the offer expires on February 7th.  And for a limited time, receive a gift valued at $10.00 at ProFlowers with a Restaurant.com purchase. Offer is $10 off a purchase at www.proflowers.com. In order to receive the ProFlowers gift, you must use the promotion code listed on your order confirmation.

There may also be minimum spend requirements, and this will vary by the restaurant.

In my experience using a ProFlowers promotion code will sign you up for something called Easy Saver which will then siphon off $14 a month from whatever account you used to purchase from them. I reported them to the better business bureau after seeing the charge 2 times. But a high school friend of mine lost thousands this way. Be careful. Read the term & conditions carefully.

I’m wondering if there is a shipping fee? When I put in the code it says $14 discount, total is $6. Weird, because they even announce the 25/3 on the main page. I’m checking into it more before I buy. Just an FYI.

I see the grub steak one has a $50 min. purchase. Is that for each gc? Can you use more than one gc per visit?

Beware of Restaurant.com. I used it once on a local restaurant. I bought two gift certificates at a very discounted rate, and when we tried to redeem them we were told by the owner that they were under new management and would not accept them. I contacted Restaurant.com and was told that I should have called ahead of time to see if they would still accept them. Restaurant.com does not police their own website, so before you buy make sure the restaurant will honor them.
