Do you have recipes that are sugar free? Just wondering incase I could not find the links. My husband is a diabetic so we are trying to eat everything with Splenda now. However, a lot of sweets are hard to make. For example, making a sugar free chocolate cake is a nightmare.

My daughter is anaphylactic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shelfish, and sulfites. I would love for there to be a place for these as well, please.

We are GF and dairy free for a family of 6. Only 5 of us need to be on this, but I am not going to make 2 meals so we are all on it. I make almost everything from scratch. See if you can join a Co-op. you will most likely have to order by the case(depending on how your Co-op works you may be able to split cases with other), but in my case it comes out to be $1-2/pkg cheaper per PACKAGE than the grocery or healthfood stores. Especially, Bob's Red Mill products! And that is the brand we use most for the flours that I use in their
bread,cookies, etc.

Thanks so much...you confirmed what I have been thinking but was too afraid to put into words.
I have friends who say they cannot afford GFCF for their kids, but by doing most of it from scratch, it really is do-able.

<a href="#comment-42003" rel="nofollow">@Karin H</a>,

Hey Karin,

When we were GFCFSF (we are currently just CF with limited gluten), I did not give them soy lechitin.

As for your pediatrician, get a second opinion perhaps?!? You want a supportive pediatrician as you walk this path! Ask your friends or others with autistic kiddos who they recommend and who they trust.

My 4 year old has autism.
He is, at this point, gluten free and dairy free.
Soy is in EVERYTHING!!! Does soy lethicin cause issues?
And our pediatrician is hesitating to let us test him for food allergies or sensitivities.
Any suggestions?

Yes, peanut/tree nut allergies are a great concern in my household. Would love to see some recipes that omit these!

I love this idea! My daughter and her husband and three children are going to be moving in with us the end of the school year. That will be 8 of us under one roof. Cooking is going to be an issue and if I can save some money in the process I'm all for it!
