How do you get the coupon to ‘double’ ??? I’m not sure what this means.
@Denise,
My grocery store doubles the value of a coupon up to $1. So a $.50 coupon gets doubled to $1. Grocery stores have different doubling policies, so just ask at the customer service desk to learn about your store’s coupon policies.
Where I live, not one grocer in 250 miles does coupon doubling. Not one. How can a store afford it, and how would they even go about it (other than raising their prices first, then offering a “double coupon day” on those products)?!
Take advantage of the opportunity if its offered, dears!
BTW, our local grocer (and the only one for 52 miles) will not accept ‘home printed’ coupons. They have to have been clipped from a magazine, newspaper or have come directly from the manufacturer.
We are stuck in the boonies up here!
We have Krogers here in Southern Illinois, too, but instead of doubling up to a total of $1, they simply double any coupons 50 cens or less. There is a big difference! You never notice how many 55-cent coupons are out there until you can’t get any of them to double!! My kingdom, my kingdom for a 50-cent coupon instead of 55….!
