Growing up there were ALWAYS two thing that could be found in the pantry…at ALL times! Tortilla chips and PACE PICANTE SAUCE! (Let’s just say my dad had has a slight obsession with the stuff!) So when Pace asked if I wanted to do a giveaway, I was thrilled. For nostalgia’s sake!
The lovely folks at Pace are giving away 5 different flavors of the Pace Specialty Salsas, along with a cookbook, so you can put your salsa to good use!
Pictured above are 3 0f the specialty flavors, Tequila Lime Salsa, Black Bean and Roasted Corn Salsa, and Pineapple Mango Chipotle Salsa. Winner will receive 5 jars of the Pace specialty salsas!

Our fave recipe is Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken and it’s easy. Throw chicken breasts, taco seasoning, and salsa into the crockpot with some cheese of your choice. Cook on low for 8 hours then serve over chips with sour cream. So good!
We love the Tequila lime salsa with shrimp. I must admit I haven’t tried any of the other flavors though. I guess I should, huh?
I would LOVE to win! I eat a LOT of salsa and I just shook out the last of my last bottle of salsa on my bean burrito last night.

In my mind, most foods are “salsa food.” My favorite is a burrito, whether beef, chicken, or bean, helped along with rice and cheese and guacamole and sour cream and a good helping of salsa. I love all the flavors, textures, temperatures, and a surprise of picante to go along with it. Making my mouth water . . .
I love salsa on chips dipped in melted cheese mixed with no bean chili! It’s awesome!

I love salsa on almost everything! I love just heating some black beans and corn and tossing it with lettuce and salsa for an insanely easy, healthy and delicious meal! Also, can’t go wrong with salsa on a baked potato.

SALSA CHICKEN
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
4 teaspoons taco seasoning mix
1 cup salsa
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons sour cream (optional)
Lettuce (optional)
Tomato (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Place chicken breasts in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle taco seasoning on both sides of chicken breasts, and pour salsa over all.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 to 35 minutes, or until chicken is tender and juicy and its juices run clear.
Sprinkle chicken evenly with cheese, and continue baking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Top with sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoe if desired, and serve.
