favorite way to save time or money in the kitchen is to have my menu done ahead of time, which saves me a lot of time staring in the fridge.

Chris W. September 4, 2012 at 9:22 pm

My favorite way to save time & money is using the crock pot, love that thing!

I save time in kitchen by “freezer cooking” with a friend for a day and we each go home with @ 15 meals to freeze!

Wendi S September 4, 2012 at 9:28 pm

I save money by making lots of stuff from scratch.

Darcey September 4, 2012 at 9:29 pm

I always try to make more of a dish to either have leftovers for lunches or we do a leftover dinner every couple of days. I just put out leftovers and everyon picks which one they want.

One way to save time in the kitchen is to batch cook on Sunday so we can just heat things up during the week

Amanda September 4, 2012 at 9:35 pm

I like to save money in the kitchen by creating new meals with leftovers to get a couple of meals out of dish.

iris smith September 4, 2012 at 9:36 pm

We roast and or grill all the meat for the week on the weekend, that sure speeds up dinners!

Shannon Hartman September 4, 2012 at 9:37 pm

my favorite way to save money is to menu plan. It helps to know what dinner is in advance so we aren’t giving up and running out to eat!

Vicki Fisher September 4, 2012 at 9:39 pm

I like to buy 10 lb. bags of chicken leg quarters. I cook them, then can the meat, and simmer the bones in the crockpot overnight for broth. It is like getting all that broth for free!

I try to save money by using coupons on what I would normally buy. I have never done freezer cooking, but I am researching and looking into starting…it is a little intimidating!

Teena September 4, 2012 at 9:49 pm

I like to buy food items that are the featured sale items for the week…if I happen to have a coupon, too, that is even better!
