My favorite way to save money in the kitchen is to watch sales and prices on fresh produce. I also try to combine shopping trips to save money on gas.

This this contest open to Canadians? I just know I would use this cookbook an awful lot for cheap, healthy recipes. I’ve got so much out of following you on Facebook.

I save time in kitchen by “freezer cooking” with a friend for a day and we each go home with @ 15 meals to freeze!

  5. Darcey says

I always try to make more of a dish to either have leftovers for lunches or we do a leftover dinner every couple of days. I just put out leftovers and everyon picks which one they want.

I like to buy 10 lb. bags of chicken leg quarters. I cook them, then can the meat, and simmer the bones in the crockpot overnight for broth. It is like getting all that broth for free!

I try to save money by using coupons on what I would normally buy. I have never done freezer cooking, but I am researching and looking into starting…it is a little intimidating!

  11. Teena says

I like to buy food items that are the featured sale items for the week…if I happen to have a coupon, too, that is even better!

  12. Isabel Acosta says

I like to save time and money is to make chicken and use half of it for a meal that night and save the rest to make dinner another day.
