by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on November 13, 2012

Have y’all heard of the countertop NuWave Oven?! Couple other cool features…

My time-saver in the kitchen in to buy red peppers when they’re on sale (3/$1), cut them into strips, freeze them, bag them, and I then have sliced peppers for all my recipes! (and I save tons of money!)

One of my favorite time savers for cooking is using already cooked meat so all you have to do is heat it up.

plan ahead! I am not great at this, but when I have a plan or at least an idea of what I want to make for the meal, things go so much faster!

When I freeze my bulk meat purchases I season them. Then when I pull them out of the freezer they defrost and marinate at the same time.

My best tip is to use your crockpot! Easiest recipe is to throw frozen chicken in the crockpot, cover with a jar of salsa and a pack of taco seasoning….taco chicken!

Jennifer Klemple November 19, 2012 at 2:59 pm

What a cool oven! Would love to win!

jen e November 19, 2012 at 3:00 pm

CROCKPOT!! not short time but short cut!! one pot cooking.
my other is: stoneware casserole dish -deep covered baker- you can cook anything in it in the microwave & it’s like it’s been cooking all day!! or like normal. EVERY thing turns out so good!!
