About 5 years ago, I was introduced to Sister Schubert’s Parker House Rolls by my mom at a Thanksgiving dinner. My mom has never been one to make homemade bread, but she sure knows how to pick the best options for non-homemade. These puppies melt in your mouth. Seriously, this bread melts. Add a little butter and some jam. Ooo-eee-ooo.
While I absolutely adore homemade bread, both the making and the eating, there comes a point when convenience just wins over. This is a pendulum that I swing on a week to week basis…some weeks I have a little more wiggle room in the schedule to make rolls. And others, I simply don’t.
And when I don’t, I turn to Sister Schubert and her delicious collection of frozen breads. I stock up when they are on sale, use any coupons that are available. And enjoy them immensely on those oh-so-busy weeknights.
I served the Parker House “melt in your mouth” rolls at our Thanksgiving dinner and got a number of compliments…which allowed me to gush over them. And I’ll serve them again. And again. They are just so wonderful, warm and fresh out of the oven.
As you can see from the photo above, the Soft Pretzel Rolls would make for great light luncheon finger sandwiches with some cheese and meat. You could also use them to make mini “cheese bowls” for putting cheese dip inside of them as a fun party appetizer. And while I didn’t try these, I think the flavor of the bread is perfect for pulled BBQ sliders.
Sister Schubert’s is out with 2 brand new products, and they sent some overnight on dry ice for us to try. I’ve tried every single product of Sister Schubert’s, from the sausage rolls to the cinnamon rolls to the Multigrain rolls, and they are all lovely and delicious. These 2 new products are just the same as the others. They’ve knocked it out of the park again.
Later this week, I’ll be running a giveaway for Sister Schubert’s products and gift basket…and next week and the following, I’ll share 2 new recipes I came up with using the Soft Pretzel Rolls and the Mini Baguettes. So stay tuned….
