New Digital Magazine & 5th Birthday Celebration {And Kitchen Aid Giveaway!!!}

I had absolutely no idea how this little blog over here in the corner of the internet would change and bless my life. It is my passion to share inexpensive recipes, as well as other money (and time) saving tips and resources with you…in the hopes that your life is a little easier, and your tummies full and satisified. Without costing an arm and a leg.

As we move into year #6, I’ve decided to take things in a new direction. Introducing…

This Week’s Eats

The new (and free) digital magazine from $5 Dinners, called This Week’s Eats. It will be my goal to publish a new magazine every 2ish weeks, and ideally each week…but I ask that you bear with me as this is a huge shift in the workflow that I’ve set up over the past 5 years :)

If this were a cruise ship, we could smash a bottle of champagne against the bow. If this was a wedding anniversary, I’d expect to get a bunch of wood or silverware.

But it’s just a birthday and launch of a new little magazine, so I thought we’d just give away a little old 6 Quart Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer.

Do I hear cheering from KS, MI, NY, WA and AZ?!? I think I hear it from all over!

This will be simple.

Go check out the magazine and let me know what you think my leaving a comment on the magazine page, or “within the magazine” in the Facebook comments just underneath of it. Let me know what you think. (I already know the gray font is hard to read…and the links are hard to find!)

This magazine is for you, so I’d love to know what you want featured and highlighted! Sky is the limit :)

Next Friday, I’ll randomly choose a winner from the combined comments. Sounds good?

Now go check it out!

And then go have a piece of cake for me! :)

    Congratulations on your 5th anniversary. Your e-mag is very well done. It’s got good eye appeal and excellent content. It will definitely inspire.
    I would love to win this mixer. Not for me, but for my church. Because of my background as a professional chef and my experience in the building trades, God and the congregation have asked me to step up to the plate and design and build a good quality working kitchen; with, of course, limited funds. This would really help us out.
    God bless.

    Even though I just recently found it, I have no idea how to tell you how much finding this website means to me! I’ve long been against any kind of cooking because I felt I couldn’t do it and felt so intimidated. And supposedly simple recipes always were so complicated for me, or they were so expensive to get the ingredients! So often I need just something that I have around already, but that will taste great. That won’t take a lot of time. And of course is actually budget friendly for real. Yours is everything. I’m so excited to get the new emag, I think it’s great! I’m probably too late to enter for the KitchenAid by now, but I wanted to let you know anyway :)

    I left a comment on the magazine but wanted to do it here as well, I really like it and would subscribe, it also made me want to seriously make the meal. Love it! -tracy

    Hi, I’ve been checking back to see who won the mixer, but can’t find anything posted about it! Can you point me to the update if it’s out there somewhere?
