Merry Christmas from the Chases

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on December 24, 2010

I have decided that it is virtually impossible to get a photograph of all three of the boys looking at the camera at the same time…AND…smiling at the same time. I think it’s worse than virtually impossible, it’s impossible.

So I’ve given up.

I give you our unofficial Christmas photos.

Yelling when I said smile.

Elbowing his brother in the mouth when I said look at mommy.

Making cheeseball faces when I said Santa is coming tonight.

Not paying attention to my pleas to look for my eyeball in the camera. (A trick I learned from Cat.)

And escaping when I said monkey boys….oooh oooh oooh aah aah aah aaaaaah.

No one seemed interested in my monkey shenanigans.

See why I’ve given up. It’s much less stressful this way.  There is enough to make my nerves wear thin during the holidays. There’s no sense in adding this to the list.

(I’ll be off most of next week, posting a little of this and a little of that next week, and will be back in full swing in the new year!)

I hope you can take a moment and savor the birth of our Savior this Christmas, cherishing all the blessings that He has given us. And I pray you have a happy and healthy new year.

From our family to yours,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Erin, Steve, Ryan, Charlie and Tyler

Great photos – I love them! One trick I recently saw a dad try is saying “don’t look this way,” which of course caused all the kids to look. “Don’t smile” also causes smiles :)

Merry Christmas!

I have a similar story I shared on my blog: http://cathy5boys.blogspot.com/2010/12/worst-fifteen-minutes.html. It doesn’t get any better but it certainly makes for good stories! Merry Christmas!

Your boys are adorable and the pix are precious :) Our quads just turned five in October and this was the first year that everyone looked at the camera and we got through it with no blood or tears (we’ve literally had one or both every year prior to this one!). Merry Christmas!

I agree with everyone, these are the best pictures. They show the personality of each boy. They are all so cute. Tyler looks well, mom must be doing a good job.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
