This Caramelized Onion dip is the perfect easy recipe for holiday snack making! It’s easy to whip up and only gets better the longer it sits in the fridge so you can enjoy it for days! Prepare this dip the night before a holiday party to have it ready to go and fully flavored. Serve with homemade potato chips or your favorite brand of kettle cooked chips. This also makes an excellent topping for loaded baked potatoes or homemade baked potato wedges.

Cooking Time – 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Medium Chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

  • Place the chopped onion with the butter into a frying pan. Cook on a medium/low heat to slowly caramelize the onions. The onions are ready when they are transparent and brown. Make sure your onions are finely chopped before you cook them.

  • Place in the fridge for at least an hour or two before serving. This dip would be best if made the night before and let sit in the fridge overnight.
