Mega Swagbucks Friday

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on February 4, 2011

I’ve introduced you all to Swagbucks, and I mention them here and there.  But I’m not sure I’ve shared with you about Mega Swagbucks Day?!

Every Friday, Swagbucks gives away anywhere between 100 and 1000 Swagbucks for searches all day long!  As you accumulate Swagbucks, you can trade them in for gift cards to a number of online and retail stores.  For example, a $5 Amazon gift card can be purchased with just 450 Swagbucks.  So if you score one of these mega swagbucks giveaway of 1,000 swagbucks, you’ll get 2 $5 Amazon.com gift cards just like that! (Yes, it’s true. And yes, it’s that easy!)

So if you’ve got some internet searching to do…do it through Swagbucks and win big today!

I’ve been using swagbucks for over 2 years, and I do like it, and most months I’m able to get the max. limit of five $5 amazon gift cards, but I actually hate “mega swagbuck days.” First of all, the highest amount I’ve ever received was 35 swagbucks at once, and so the highest I most of the time get is 11 swagbucks…but almost every Friday (MSBD) I hardly win anything…I usually can win maybe 3 times for searches on most days, but on Fridays, if I’m very lucky, maybe I’ll win once, and the usual wins are from 7 to 11 swagbucks, the same as the rest of the days. For me, and it seems like for most people, Fridays are not usually good days for getting swagbucks. I don’t know anyone whose received more than 50 swagbucks on a search (and that person I didn’t know personally), so I don’t think MSBD’s should be made that much of, unless you want to have a lot of frustrated people…which is what I usually am when I hear about how great it’s suppose to be…and what I think is really wrong, is that that always say you can win anywhere from 100 to 1000 for one search, which makes you think you can at least get 100 SB, but that seems to never happen as well. Have you ever got 100 or more SB before? I can’t believe I would be that unlucky, in over 2 years, so it seems like it must be rare. I’m just wondering what you’re experience has been. On another subject, thank you for creating this site…it’s been a great help, and given me lots of ideas for keeping me on budget!
