So I didn’t get around to last week’s shopping until Saturday. Night. at 9 pm. Because that’s just how last week happened!  We had plenty of stockpile from the week before…and I think it’s safe to say we are “overstocked” now!  The cupboards were stuffed to the edge after last week’s trip…so I tried to keep it light for Thanksgiving week, only getting some snacks for the kids, as well as the rest of what I needed to make my side dishes and pie.

Glad that someone is saving money at the grocery store! We have Aldi so I do about 85% of my buying there. Then I go to Wegman’s and use my coupons, which they double up to $0.99 which is a blessing to my family of 8. I just wish there was banana coupons out there. We buy so many bananas each week, I should buy stock! LOL

I wish our Kroger sent out coupons for free stuff! I still like them anyway. I hit Meijer for my Thanksgiving shopping…..did ok. Trying to work on a stock pile, but it’s just not happenning for me =(

I’m really curious to see the tutorial for the pomegranates but I can’t seem to find the link.

Claire…..Have you tried looking for a wholesaler in your area that will sell you a box of fruit? I’m not in a very big town, but there is one produce supplier that sells boxes of fruits and veggies. I came across them when we were looking for large quantities for kids on the track team (it takes a lot of fruit to feed 80 kids) One box might be too big, but you could split with another family? If I remember right, we bought a box of bananas for about $20. Another benefit is that everything is SO fresh! Or even talk to the produce department at your grocery store about buying in bulk.
