At this moment, the slow cooker is sitting on the kitchen counter, working its magic on a bag of 15 Bean Soup from Hurst Beans. I’m making their 15 Bean Soup Crockpot recipe for our dinner tonight.

Simple.

Just remember to soak the beans overnight. *ahem*

  • 1 pkg Hurst’s® HamBeens® 15 Bean Soup®
  • 8 cups water, boiling
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped

I am intrigued by the Hust Beans with the pot in general – I have never heard of them and an not even sure they have them here in the midwest. I would love to try any recipes that come with the beans.

Had their ham bean soup the other day (froze it and it made 9 meals for me alone)… then I went to the store and bought a couple different kinds, but this week, I will be trying their chicken/bean version (also picked up a bag of their split pea soup which I am totally stoked about!)

I am so excited to find the recipe for the Black Bean & Corn recipe! One of our grocery stores has this in their salad bar all the time and now I can make it myself. I am also going to make the Cheesy Mac N Beans. I have just adopted my twin grandchildren and am on a quest for kid friendly recipes. They love Mac and Cheese and the beans will be an added bonus!
