My most creative use for leftover bread is dicing it up in the food processor, pour onto a pan, add a little olive oil and bake for a few minutes to make homemade croutons or bread crumbs.

  2. says

Ohhhhhh…I’d love to win these buns. They’d go great with Kroger’s Oscar Mayer sale this week! Thanks for all the recipes you share.

I have forwarded this just discovered site to many of my friends – mentioning the bun giveaway are a draw to get them to visit the site.

  4. Claire says

Favorite use of left over buns – although we don’t have them leftover often – is garlic bread. Although after watching Next Food Network Star on Sunday, I will start making the garlic bread right off the bat and use that as out bun for our burgers too. Yum.

  5. says

I love to use leftover buns when I make cheesy garlic bread. Just brush with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic salt, top with mozzarella cheese, and bake until cheese is melted. Yummy!

  6. Carla says

Who doesn’t like Sara Lee??? And I find leftover buns make lunchbox sandwiches more interesting than using sliced bread.

  7. says

With 5 kids in the house, we rarely have leftover buns, but if they happen to get so leftover that they go bad, I’ll give them to the chickens or ducks.

  8. Johanna S says

I mentioned it on on the Recipe Exchange tab. I would love to win some healthy wheat buns for our family gathering! If there were any leftovers, I’d make individual garlic bread by basting with melted butter and olive oil, sprinkling with Italian seasonings and just a touch of kosher salt, then baking at 375 for 12 minutes. Nummy!

  9. Brenda F says

I just found it today. I am sharing with my daughter and the ladies she works with. I am retired and always looking for ways to save/shop/freebies to pass on to them.

  10. Debbie Kilpatrick says

bread crumbs as a thickener in gravy – or stews or chilis – i love to cook and leftovers are one of my biggest thrills and challenges

  11. says

I like to make french toast with leftover bread. I just let it soak in the egg mixture for a minute to soften it up a little and it works great.

  12. Leah says

I use leftover buns as garlic bread to go with spaghetti or lasagna. Also, dry them out for bread crumbs or cut them up, season them, and toast them to be croutons. Mmmm….

  13. Michelle says

I use leftover buns to give my dogs their medicine. They love the buns and have no trouble with meds then.

  14. says

I really try hard to use up all the rolls but when I do have some leftover, I usually throw them in the freezer to save to make potato filling at Thanksgiving.
