Frugal Festival Food!

The third annual Frugal Festival Food! is devoted to saving money on the most basic expense of all – food!

Frugal Festival Food! is Los Angeles’ tastiest one-day gathering of consumers hungry to save money on groceries, meals out, and home cooking. Guests will nosh on free tastings from Albertsons, learn how to use a solar oven, compete in a Coupon Challenge to find the best deals, and win Free Raffle prizes from Pyrex, Starbucks, and a $300 Albertsons gift card.

“My roommate and I had a great time at the Festival,” said Lisa, a guest from last year. “We will certainly be back next year, and already plan to go the VIP route.”

Canoga Park High School, 6850 Topanga Canyon Blvd in Los Angeles.
Tickets are $5-$10 and available exclusively through Goldstar.

Get a $5 ticket discount when you bring a canned good donation to support an LA food bank. Plus, $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the food bank.

Frugal Festival Food! is hosted by founder Julia Scott, a former reporter and columnist for the Los Angeles Daily News who organizes the Festival each year to thank her readers.

“When it comes to feeding your family in today’s economy, it’s all about being smart and saving money,” commented Lilia Rodriguez, Albertsons external communications manager. “Albertsons is excited to be a part of the  2011 Frugal Festival Food! where everyone will learn how to get the best value for their dollar.”
