The $5 Dinners Weekly Meal Plan with Printable Grocery List

Every week I will post 5 links to archived recipes, plus an additional 1 or 2 recipes for breakfast, snacks or batch cooking recipes.  You can click through to see the original recipe and print that recipe if you like. (Or go green and just come back to this post to get to the recipe.)

Half and half this week…indoor cooking and outdoor cooking. Hope you’re having a fabulous start to your summer! We’ve been at the pool each day since school got out, and we’re looking at more splish-splashy fun this coming week too!

Chicken and Potato Stirfry on the Grill

2 chicken breasts, about 1 lb.
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp garlic and onion grill seasoning
4 medium Idaho potatoes
1 green pepper
1 onion

Individual Beef Pies

2 tubes store bought pie crust
2 cups-ish leftover spaghetti sauce
Pinchfuls of parmesan or mozzarella cheese
Serve with fresh fruit and vegetables

Grilled Pork Chops with Peaches and Red Onions

4 small pork chops
Garlic powder
Onion powder
3 large peaches
1 medium to large red onion
Side of homemade rolls or store bought rolls/bread loaf

Strawberry Spinach Quinoa Salad

2 cups white quinoa
6 large strawberries
2 handfuls fresh baby spinach
About 1/4 to 1/3 cup chopped or slivered almonds
Dressing drizzles – balsamic, poppyseed, or other sweet vinaigrette

Grilled Hawaiian Chicken Sandwiches

2 large chicken breasts
BBQ sauce for marinade, about 1/2 cup
1 can pineapple slices
4 whole wheat buns
BBQ, ketchup. honey mustard for sandwich
Serve with a side of fresh fruit or veggies and/or chips

Whole Wheat Carrot Cake Pancakes

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 – 1 3/4 cups milk
1 egg
1/4 cup applesauce
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
2 Tablespoons butter
1 1/4 cup grated carrots
Syrup: equal parts cream cheese and maple syrup with dash of cinnamon
Side: Sausage, eggs, fresh fruit

Iced Caramel Coffee Punch

4 cups brewed coffee
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk or 1 full can of evaporated milk
3-4 Tbsp Smucker’s caramel syrup (or other flavored syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or peppermint)
Couple small scoops of ice creamCaramel drizzles on top
