The $5 Dinners Weekly Meal Plan with Printable Grocery List

Every week I will post 5 links to archived recipes, plus an additional 1 or 2 recipes for breakfast, snacks or batch cooking recipes.  You can click through to see the original recipe and print that recipe if you like. (Or go green and just come back to this post to get to the recipe.)

My mouth is watering, just pulling this list together! Our family really enjoyed all of these meals and I sure hope yours does too! (And the skillet cookie won’t last long…especially if you serve it warm with ice cream…mmm!)

Scroll down and you’ll see a list of ingredients for each of the recipes included, in the order they are listed above. I’ll include ALL ingredients, including many that you already have in your pantry, refrigerator, or freezer. If you have those ingredients, just don’t click them!

Three Cheese Spaghetti

9-10 oz. whole grain spaghetti noodles
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 pint grape tomatoes
1 small onion
6 oz. package Feta cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Slow Cooker Maple Chicken

1 pkg (about 1.5 lbs.) boneless skinless chicken thighs
About 3 Tbsp maple syrup
3 medium sweet potatoes
About 1/2 lb. baby carrots (or 4-5 peeled carrots sticks)
1 small red onion

Potato Mushroom Smothered Pork Chops

2 lbs. baby red potatoes (about 16)
1 Tbsp olive oil
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 small white or yellow onion
About 3 Tbsp butter or margarine
About 1/4 cup milk or sour cream or cream cheese
8 pork chops
Serve with broccoli or other vegetable side

Alea’s Skillet Lasagna

1/2 lb. hamburger
1 cup onion
4 cloves garlic
1 3/4 cup (or 15 oz. can) diced tomatoes
1 3/4 cup or (14.5 oz. can) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (how to make Italian seasoning)
1 teaspoon sugar
6 lasagna noodles
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chives

Magda’s Eggs-cellent Open Faced Sandwiches

2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 onion
1 red pepper
6 eggs
6 slices of rye bread (or other bread)
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons mustard

One Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
3 Tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, chopped (or 1 cup chocolate chips)

    May I just make a suggestion? :) It would be so helpful if you posted these weekly meal plans on a Friday or even a Saturday since, I would imagine, most people have done their grocery shopping by the time this is posted on Sunday evening. Often, some things you post I’d love to make but can’t since I’m missing ingredients, then I forget about them. Anyway, just thought I’d throw that out there. Thanks!
