The $5 Dinners Weekly Meal Plan with Printable Grocery List

Every week I will post 5 links to archived recipes, plus an additional 1 or 2 recipes for breakfast, snacks or batch cooking recipes.  You can click through to see the original recipe and print that recipe if you like. (Or go green and just come back to this post to get to the recipe.)

Merry Christmas to you all! We’ve got a light menu for this week for you…as I know there will be much feasting and cooking happening in many of your homes!  I hope you have a blessed week!

Scroll down and you’ll see a list of ingredients for each of the recipes included, in the order they are listed above. I’ll include ALL ingredients, including many that you already have in your pantry, refrigerator, or freezer. If you have those ingredients, just don’t click them!

Chili with a Kick

1 pound ground chuck
1 onion, chopped
15-ounce can pinto beans
15-ounce can cooked black beans
15-ounce can jalapenos
6-ounce can tomato paste
6-ounce can tomato, diced
2 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon garlic powder 
Hot sauce, to taste 

Spaghetti with Chunky Sauce

1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp minced onion
2 garlic cloves
2 15 ounce cans diced tomatoes
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp sweetener (I used honey)
Pinchful of fresh herbs
Shredded or grated parmesan, couple pinchfuls
Serve over noodles with side salad or spinach

Chicken Fajita Melts

1 loaf French bread
2 chicken breasts
2 teaspoons fajita seasoning
12 oz bag frozen peppers and onion blend
About 1/4 cup salsa
4 slices Pepper Jack cheese, or Cheddar
Serve with fresh fruit

Denise’s Pecan Pie Bars

2 cups flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 cup margarine, divided
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
