Formula 409 Baking & Clean Up Gift Basket – Holiday Giveaway

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on November 20, 2013

409 Giveaway

The holidays are a great time to make a mess in the kitchen! From baking with the whole family to holiday parties, this is the time of year where the kitchen has a sticky splotch on the floor from brownie batter or gravy. The messy aftermath of gatherings and parties can be a real drag. Did you know that over 50% of Americans said they would entertain more if they didn’t have to worry about the clean-up?!? We’re missing out on some serious parties and events!

Well, Formula 409® makes it easy to clean-up kitchen messes, so there is no need to fear the end-of-night clean-up from the baking parties or the big meals. I actually enjoy the clean-up part. My husband and I have a great “system” where we sit down for a few minutes at the end of a gathering to talk about how things went, conversations we had, highlights of the event, etc. Once we’ve had a few minutes to rest, we then tackle the mess.

We all know that nothing is immune to the mess. We often find spots on our newly painted white-ish cabinets. The stove is generally a greasy mess and the floor. Oh, the floor. Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner easily cleans grease and other kitchen surfaces, like the spots on the floor, with just a swipe and a wipe. It kills 99.9% of germs on hard non-porous surfaces (yay, says this mom of a crawling baby!) Formula 409® is also available in Glass & Surface Cleaner, Natural Stone & Steel Cleaner and Carpet Spot & Stain Cleaner so you can clean just about any possible mess from your party…including the cupcake that your child dropped on the carpet upstairs. (Not that this happened at a recent birthday party?!?)

To help you get through the cooking and entertaining messes of the holidays, Formula 409® is giving a holiday baking basket away to a lucky winner. It includes fun bakeware, but more importantly, the Formula 409® you’ll need to easily clean-up the mess.

My favorite messy recipe is when I make homemade perogies…yum! I always roll the dough out on the counter, so flour, cheese & potatoes are always stuck everywhere.

My favorite messy recipe would probably be for my grandma’s molasses cookies. The molasses is very sticky and the flour portion of the recipe is to pretty much just keep adding flour until it seems right. So there is generally flour everywhere.

My favorite and messiest is spaghetti. I have to make such a huge pot to feed my large family and pouring it tends to make a big mess.

I love to make sugar cookies and pies. Well, actually I love to eat them, but the floury mess often detours me to something less messy like muffins or snickerdoodles. :)
