Fall Fruits and Vegetables

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on September 19, 2008

Here is a list of fall fruits and vegetables. They will get cheaper and cheaper as the season progresses and will likely be “on and off” sale. It’s hard to plan menus with lots of produce when you don’t know what’s going to be on sale, so hopefully this will help!

Fall Vegetables
Avocado
Beets
Broccoli
Brussel Sprouts
Cabbage
Carrots
Cauliflower
Celery
Collards
Garlic
Artichokes
Kale
Lettuce
Pumpkin
Rutabaga
Snow Peas
Squash
Sweet Potatoes
Turnips
Watercress

Fall Fruits
Apples
Bananas
Clementines
Cranberries
Grapes

I finally passed on the i heart your blog award! I am glad you posted these fall veggies and fruits to be on the lookout for in the supermarket. I am so bad when it comes to budgeting (I have other strengths!), so I am happy to have a few pointers on what to look for when I do my grocery shopping.
