Ebates – Cash Back for Online Purchases

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on December 16, 2009

Ebates, Ebates…where have you been all my life???

If you are doing ANY shopping online this holiday season, or anytime for that matter, and you are not using Ebates…you are missing out on some CASH!  I’ve been missing out, but not anymore!!!

Ebates is a website “Where it Pays to Shop Online”…and just as their tagline states, Ebates pays you a percentage cash back at various online retailers when you click through the Ebates website.

If you are an online shopper and you are not using Ebates, then now is the time to get started!  Everyone who signs up with Ebates gets an automatic $5 bonus in their account.

Plus, once signed up, you can refer a friend and when your friends sign up, then you get a $5 bonus when your friend spends $20 over a 90 day period.

So what happens after you sign up…

1. Find a fabulous new product at your favorite online retailer.

2. Go to Ebates.com and find that retailer.  Click through the Ebates website to the online retailer of your choice.

3. Purchase this fabulous product.

4. Get % cash back into your Ebates account. (%s vary by retailer)

5. Ebates pays you cash every quarter for the different purchases when clicking through Ebates.  They pay any balance more than $5.01 (from purchases, not referrels) in cash, or to your PayPal account.

6. Start referring friends!

 Here’s an example…

Let’s say you want to order The $5 Dinner Mom Cookbook  for ALL your friends.  Head on over to the books section on Ebates to find the retailer that you wish to purchase through…Barnes and Noble, Borders, BooksAMillion are each offering different coupon codes and cash back percentages.  So click through Ebates to the site of your choice and ORDER THOSE COOKBOOKS AWAY!!! {shameless plug}

Get it? Got it? Good!

Now head on over to sign up for Ebates…and get your $5 for signing up to get you started!

Happy Earning Cash Back through Ebates!!!

We have been using ebates for a few years; it is great and works seamlessly. But don’t forget about bing too!

I have a ebates account and added to it quite a bit this Christmas season. I will welcome the check in Feb. :)

Wow! I wish I would’ve known about this sooner. I did all of my shopping online this year and could of used the ebates! Now I know for the future! Thanks for sharing.

ebates.com is great, but sometimes one of the others (like Mr. Rebates or Upromise) offers a better % — it depends on which online store you’re shopping. I would recommend starting at http://evreward.com/. Type in the store you’ll be shopping online (like Target.com), and then you’ll see all the different rebate options available and you can click through from there to take advantage of the best one.

I’m so glad you shared this great rebate program. I’ve been using it since 2006 and since Sept 2009, I’ve earned over $60+ for our mother’s club. Instead of having the check made payable to me, I’ve designated the club as the charity I want to receive the money. It is so easy to raise money for your fave charity this way!

I signed up for ebates a few days ago so that I could get a discount on Weight Watchers if I Joined by the end of this month. However, I don’t know how I can get it credited to Weight Watchers. Please let me know because today is the last day.
Thank You.
