Drugstore Food Deals – Week of May 22nd

by Erin, The $5 Dinner Mom on May 21, 2011

Every week I’ll be posting the best food deals at the different national drug stores. I have found that the drug stores often have great prices on food, especially pantry staples!  I may occasionally highlight other free, moneymaker and ECB/RR deals to help you get the credit needed to get some of these pantry staples for free, using the ECBs, RRs and UP rewards.

$1.50 Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce
Coupon in Sunday paper

$1 CVS brand Elbow Macaroni

$6.99 Starbucks coffee, 12 oz
$1.50/1 Starbucks Coffee 4/17/2011 SS Insert (exp 6/30/2011)
Final Price: $5.49

2/$1 Geisha mushrooms and Madame mandarin oranges – stock up price!

3/$1 Hunts tomato sauce, 8 oz. – stock up price!

$1.99 Sun-Maid raisins, 16 oz.

I hope this helps you decide whether or not to bop into the drugstore this next week to pick up any staples!

Sale prices valid, starting this Sunday. Visit Savings Lifestyle for a complete list of the drugstore deals at each of the major drugstores.

FYI, the Sweet Baby Ray’s coupons are for dipping sauce and/or marinade. It is NOT for the bbq sauce.

It is for the bbq sauce too! The Meijer sales ad is 5 for $5 on 18oz bbq sauce, 16oz teriyaki marinade, or 12oz dipping sauce. I’m reading the wording of the ad right in front of me, and it’s plain as day. The coupon is $1.00 off 3 Sweet Baby Ray’s 18oz Barbeque Sauce. : )

O.K., I just HAD to share my steal at Walgreens this week! Two 16oz bottles of Listerine Whitening Original (blue label) for as little as $0.98 plus applicable sales tax after sale price & coupons, and you receive a $4.00 Register Reward to spend on, say, the 3/$1.00 Hunts tomato sauces! No, it’s not food, but mouthwash is important in keeping your food chompers healthy. ; )

If you have (or print from coupons.com or swagbucks.com) two coupons for $1.00 off Listerine, then this deal works for you this week. This week’s sales ad has a coupon for $3.00 off Listerine (limit 3). That’s $6.00 off two bottles, and $2.00 off from the manufacturer coupons. My Walgreens in Columbus has the Listerine Whitening 16oz bottle on sale for $4.49, so yesterday I spent, after coupons, $0.98 +tax for two bottles, AND received back a $4.00 RR that I used on stuff I needed anyway.

Don’t you just LOVE deals & steals?!
