Since I refuse to do Facebook (no time!), I guess I’ll get shot down for any comment, but…
When my kids were at home, I planned meals. They got to see what they were going to have and I got to figure out how to get around what the school lunch program had set up for the kids (only a week ahead of time!). We didn’t have the same thing twice in 24 hrs. very often, but boy, was it a close call sometimes.
Now that its just the two of us, I deal with working full time and cooking full time. What I’d like to fix isn’t always what HE wants at all or, after work and a long drive home (3 hours sometimes), I’m not ‘up’ to what I had planned. So we always have a “Plan B” (and “Plan C” – HA! ;) just in case) in the freezer.
The challenge for me is to keep that freezer stocked with tempting meals that even the food-preparation challenged male can’t mess up too bad.
Thank goodness pasta was invented.

I plan meals because it’s a lot easier for me but I hate doing it! I would love it if someone else just told me what to make!

I would love to win it. My boyfriend is moving in for a month or two because he sold his house and is going to live with me until he finds a new house to buy (its a buyers market so he could find one soon). I will have to be learning to cook for an adult (right now I am cooking for my 5 year old granddaughter) and i could really use the software. He might even hook up the computer while he is there so I will have internet at home. Cool.

I seem to do well planning meals for a few weeks, and then fall off the wagon (for months sometimes!). It’s just so hard to plan consistently for me!

I enjoy reading your emails and have gotten some great recipes. One of our favorites was the rhubarb one in May 2009.

I’m an on and off meal planner. I plan for a few weeks and then I fall off the wagon for a few weeks. Life runs much smoother with a plan.

I’ve just begun (since Feb) on this journey of couponing, saving and meal planning. I definitely need to be meal planning but haven’t been spent much time on it yet. I’m thrilled to have found your site and have already printed your meal planning pages. I’m ready to get started and I think this program sounds great for a beginner like me!

I want to love meal planning but my life seems to buck at it. When I make a meal plan, I never seem to get to the store or someone needs to work late and then we end up eating some type of egg meal for dinner.

Last week was the first time I meal planned. I loved it….I had my 2 girls sit with me and come up with things they wanted for dinner. I sat through the sales flier and we made most meals around that. I loved knowing what I was making that night instead of opening cupboards and my refrigerator wondering what to make.

One week I’m motivated and the next I just can’t seem to get a meal planned for one day! I love it when I actually do it. Things just go smoother when I plan meals for the week. But the Murphys of my life always seem to get in the way!

I periodically try menu planning and love it when I do it. Then I fall away from it and have to struggle to get it going again. It’s an unending circle. I am currently in the struggling to get it going again stage.

I plan meals but it still isn’t working out quite right yet. Too many things have been happening that interfere with the plan.

I have done mean planning in the past and it works pretty good. But then life happens and I get side tracked from keeping on top of it.

I so need to start doing to again. It’s so much easier when we are constantly on the go.

I liked the post for Whole Wheat Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins. Those sound yummy. I will have to try them. Had to laugh at the comment about too much testosterone. My husband has the complete opposite issue as we have 3 girls.

I have not done much on meal planning. It seems a little overwhelming. I guess I need to give it a try. Love your email newsletter
