Inspirational gifts…love giving them, love receiving them. Love having positive words and reminders scattered around my home.
That’s why I’m particularly excited about this giveaway…you get to make your own holiday gift basket from Dayspring!
I received a lovely gift pack from them…including a clock that now adorn the home office in our new home, along with a mirror and key holder that I’m going to hang by the garage door in the laundry room…just as soon as we can get it painted (this weekend, honey?!?). And I also got the “Redeemed Letters” that will go on the mantle with garland and other Christmas decor that we’ll put up next week!
Shop the Dayspring store for holiday decor and browse the gifts too. Use the coupon code HolidayBash2012, for 25% off the entire store, good through Monday, November 19th. (Sweet savings!)
This week, we’re giving away 1 $100 Dayspring Gift Card to 1 winner! Entry details…

My favorite decoration is our Christmas stockings with our initials on them – LOVE those!
One of my favorites is our little Christmas tree. I would prefer a large (living!) one, instead of a short nonliving tree. But my two boys love it so much! They enjoy decorating it and just enjoy the Christmas season. So it’s helped me to see it in a new light.

The best gift I ever received on Christmas was my grandfather giving me his wife’s wedding ring. She had died a few years earlier. I treasure that gift.

I bought a nativity set in the last year or two and like having that up.
I found really cute sesame street ornaments when my niece was 2 years old. She loved them so much she made her mom and dad hand them up all year round over the dining room table. They were not that expensive at all and she was going thru a sesame street thing at the time. Best gift I gave anyone!

My favorite holiday decoration is blue spruce garland and pinecones that I put on my stair railing and over cabinets and porch columns. It not only smells good but is pleasing to the eye. We also put cinnamon sticks and dried oranges in them for the aroma and then book all of those on low which fills the air with warmth. White lights go inside the garlands too. We get lots of compliments.

My favorite holiday decoration is a nativity scene.
I love a good wreath.
For the Thanksgiving season right now, I made a centerpiece using acorns, a candle and short cylinder vase! Everything was free (acorns – in my in laws’ driveway, candle used only for decoration in my pie safe and a vase from my mother in law 2 yrs ago!) I love it so much because it is all stuff that was given to me. And it looks beautiful. I can’t wait for Christmas though – I get to display all of the beautiful things from my mother’s collection – she past away a couple yrs ago so it is always special to see them out!
I repinned the spicy quinoa and kidney beans recipe! I can’t wait to make that one!
