This past spring was our first experience with baseball…T-ball, really…and I think the boys fell a little deeper in love with the sport. They have always had a thing for The Reds (probably has something to do with the fact that Steve listens to the games on the radio every night…I can hear the game on now, as I type), and they love to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” while in the tub!

The T-ball games were on Sundays right after church…and we found ourselves stopping for sandwiches at Subway each week between church and games! Several weeks ago, I had the opportunity to not only meet, but hang out with, JD Roth…author of Your Money: The Missing Manual and blogger behind the uber-popular blog Get Rich Slowly. We talked “shop” mostly…blogs, businesses, books. The book is easy to read, easy to follow and easy to digest.  JD does a fantastic job of building one concept on top of the previous concept.  It is practical, well structured and full of the wisdom that he learned as he got his family out of debt, and kept them out of debt.  His passion and desire to help others keep themselves from falling into a situation similar to his is evident. A real treasure of a book.

Cake anyone?!?

There I am…wishing I could eat a slice of each different flavor!  The first time I placed one of these delectable pieces of cake in my mouth was at the Savvy Blogging Summit last month. And I think I fell a little deeper in love with chocolate.
