Merry CHRISTmas!
This recipe sounds GREAT !! I will probably do it in the oven. Saw you on Rachael this AM and looked up your Website. Love It..also shared it with my 26 year old Granddaughter who has a husband ,a 5 y/o and a 6mo. old ,and is always looking for healthy and cheap menus. Thanks from all of us. ( I am trying lots of your recipes ).
I am excited to try this and many more of your recipes. They sound delicious! I saw you on Rachel Ray yesterday and I love that you created a website to share all of your ideas with all of us. Thanks for all the recipes, coupons, and tips!
Made this today for dinner .. I didn’t realize it was a crock pot meal, I baked it @ 350 covered for 20 mins then I took the foil off and put it under the broiler for about 10 mins to get the bacon crisped … so darn good!! (I snuck a little veggie in there by grating 2 carrots in with the apples and the kids never noticed!!)
Way to sneak the veggies!!!
Just put this in the crockpot, smells good already! I can’t wait to taste it, I love this site. With the enconomy the way it is I will be sharing this website with everyone i know. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Wish I had a lemon – I’d make this for dinner!
This was some of the best chicken I have had in a long time. So easy and moist. I liked the other persons idea to put carrots in with the apples. Thanks for the great recipe.
Oh Wow – love this!!
Great end of the items/jar/bottle/cupboard type recipe! Mmmm…
I made this but i the Chicken was dried out to much!, and they were pretty big sized chicken breasts. I think at about the 6 and a half hour mark is when i should have taken them out. But the flavors go very well together. Was yours dry at all? Im going to try it again sometime, and wondering your opinion. Thx!
@Kerry,
No Kerry, ours was not dried out at all…it was quite tender. I have heard/read that some crockpots cook differently than others! You could certainly cook it for less time, just as long as it’s not pink in the middle, of course!

Erin, Just had to let you know I made this after seeing it in All You. It was FANTASTIC! Not dry at all, in response to previous commenter. I could eat it every day, seriously. Thanks, this is totally going to be a fallback recipe for me!
Jessie
@Vanderbilt Wife,
Great! So glad you liked it Jessie! It’s one of our faves too
I saw you cook this recipe on Good Day on Fox DFW and am just getting around to looking for it, but it is not available anymore? I’ve been thinking about making it since mid-February, but have been crazy busy! Is it possible to get the recipe via e-mail, please? I remember some of the ingredients but just didn’t want to trust my memory. Had another birthday yesterday!
Thanks!
@Ursula C.,
Unfortunately I had to remove that recipe from the site per an agreement with my publishing house. I don’t have an electronic version of the recipe anymore. It can be found in the cookbook
