A few months ago…one evening on Twitter…something happened.
A conversation started between myself and a few other bloggers. And POOF!
Savvy Blogging began.
Savvy Blogging is a concept. It’s a community. It’s about learning. It’s about growing. It’s about achieving your goals, and improving your blog!
It is my desire, and the desire of the entire Savvy Blogging Team, to help other bloggers become better bloggers!
The Savvy Blogging Team, Crystal from The Thrifty Mama, Crystal from Money Saving Mom, Toni from Happy Housewife, Andrea from Mommy Snacks and myself, will be hostessing a Round Table Dinner and Discussion in Nashville on February 4th. The dinner has sold out, but stay tuned for other learning opportunities coming your way!
If you are interested in learning more about blogging, becoming a better blogger, have a question you need answered or a tip/trick to share with other bloggers, you can follow and share on the #savvyblogging Twitter hashtag. The # hashtag allows you to “follow” the conversation…I promise you’ll learn a few things!
You can follow the Savvy Blogging Team on Twitter, become a fan of Facebook, and follow each of the hostesses on Twitter as well… @mommysnacks, @thethriftymama, @happyhousewife, @crystalpaine, and @5dollardinners!
I’ll be sharing my 2010 Blogging Goals later this week…if you’d like to share yours, write a post on your site and plan to link it up over on Savvy Blogging on Monday morning!
We’re here to help every blogger become “Savvy Bloggers”!!!

I’m SO looking forward to going to Savvy Blogging! Still praying about finding the money for Blissdom, too, but at least I’m going to SB! Can’t wait!
The Savvy Blogging dinner/round table event is one of the things I’m looking forward to most at Blissdom!
Sounds awesome, sadly I won’t be at Blissdom or the Round Table but I will surely follow you online. You are one of my favorite bloggers!
Sounds interesting! I am now following the conversation:-)
Now following the conversation! What RSS settings do you use to show the name and details of the post at the bottom of the RSS feed?
Thanks
Lori
@Lori,
I use the WP plugin called “RSS Footer”. Should be able to search for it on the plugin page of the WP dashboard.
Blogging is so challenging, yet so rewarding. Thanks for the heads-up, I’m very interested.
@FinanceDad,
I agree! And I love the community and spirit of helping each other learn!!!
Everybody is trying to make money from blogging these days….it’s very sad, I have seen a lot of blogs become so commercialized that they are jam packed with more annoying advertisments and self-serving promotions than useful info.
I hope blogging can stay the way it is originally meant – for individuals to share their passion, uninfluenced by advertisers, I used to like your blog, but not anymore. Nowadays, you are spamming my google with too much self-serving advertisments like this post, than recipes. So, I’m going to delist your blog as one of my favorites. Good Bye, I know you won’t publish my comment, this is another thing about blogging, any constructive, honest comment is never published. How boring it’s to see all the same nice and positive comments 100% of the time, makes any blog biased and worthless. Blog is supposed to engage honest debate and discussions, (as long as it’s not obscene personal attacks)… Anyway, bye!
Hey,
I really just wanted to congratulate you on your book! (I’m posting it in here b/c the comments were closed on that posting.) I’ve finally just had my book published as well, so I understand the ups and downs that come with that. I love your blog and hope the book does exceedingly well!
Take care,
Christina
I love reading blogs, but this one is too packed with annoying ads, loads slow! Besides the anoynomus person up there, everybody here seems like more interested in getting their blog a click from here than expressing their opinions about blogging. I agree, all comments here are uniformly the same. Not interested in this blog.
To all of the haters, please don’t waste your key strokes on writing negative stuff. That’s not what this site is about and I hope you find something better to do!
Erin, and many others are about helping and community. I would say you haven’t read this site long enough if you feel she is influenced by advertisers. She is allowed to promote her new book too! It’s not self-serving, it’s marketing!
Consider leaving a link to your own blog next time. You know, since everyone is concerned about getting “their blog a click” more than expressing opinions and all
You might get a new visitor! Don’t worry though, we all have manners and wouldn’t leave you a nasty comment.
