31 Days of School Lunchbox Ideas: Day 13

31 Days of School Lunchbox Ideas - Day 13 | 5DollarDinners.com

I know how busy and intense the transition from lazy summer days at the pool to adjusting back to the 6:30 am wake up calls can be…so I thought I’d help out by sharing a different lunchbox idea each day this month.

What’s In Today′s Lunchbox?!

  • Pita Pockets with Peanut Butter & Bananas
  • Cucumbers
  • Horizon String Cheese
  • Potato Chips

**For those of you who have peanut free schools, make sure you try Wowbutter It’s a safe alternative to peanut butter that is made in a 100% Peanut Free, Nut Free, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and Egg Free Facility, and most importantly, tastes just like the real thing!

Disclaimer: These ideas are just a small part of the total food eaten throughout the day. Some have smaller amounts of protein and/or green veggies than others, but you can balance that out with serving more protein or green veggies at other meals/snacks. Feel free to adjust these ideas to fit your family’s needs.

Any tips on keeping the bananas from turning brown? I have not had much luck with that. For apples, we usually use a little orange juice or Fruit Fresh. . . Thanks!
